just stuffz and more
after an XP rstore
Published on August 5, 2005 By ethsza In ObjectDock
Hi all,

Yesterday I had to revert my XP to an earlier restore point due to some (now irrelevant) failure.
The restore point was automatically created on the 28th of july, but I have upgraded my ODP on the 31st to the currently newest version.
After loading the restorepoint, my XP seems to run the earlier version of ODP, but SDC shows that I'm on the latest level.

Is there a way to avoid an ODP uninstall and reinstall? Also I'd prefer not to wait until the next release, which would also solve the problem I guess.

thanx
Andras

If you made an archive in SDC, you can try using the File menu > Restore archive to select the current version and apply it.

Other than that, you can perform an uninstall of ODPlus in SDC (make sure the including all skins... is deselected) > then reinstall. This should just replace the program files with the most recent versions.

Or, as you said, wait for new release.

If it's not too late, maybe you could undo the Restore, then open SDC and make an archive of OD. At this point you could do the restore again, and then restore the archive.....

I really have no idea if this would work, but thought I'd make the suggestion.
