WindowBlinds
Hi, could you please take a look at the questions I have written and illustrated here:
Link
?
Basically it's about problems I have on win2k with mac-like (glyph close/min/max buttons on the left side, borderless config, etc) themes.
Many thanks
Andras

Without seeing the skin in skinstudio I can only guess..
#1--Sounds like you don't have the proper transparency settings. Unchecking translucency might be the fix.
#2-- Sounds like you are activating the system icon menu instead. Add the icon back into the skin, see if the close button works.
#3--You have to have some sort of border to grab onto to resize. Otherwise you won't be able to.
#4-- Play with you classic colors. Background window and background MDI window to be specific.
Hope something helps.

Many thanks Night Train!
#1 I don't think that there would be transparency settings in the 4.6 WB/Skinstudio version. Or I haven't found them.
#2 The system icon is aligned directly left to the middle-aligned titlebar caption text, so it's not there. This is why I thought that maybe in win2k this restore/min/max/close system menu is bound to its original place rather than to the system icon.
#3 So if I design a border, it will be resizable? Cool, I will try it.
#4 I'll play with it tonight.
And one more question: Some applications (for example Calculator, or the windowblinds configuration app.) do not have buttons on them with this Niqu theme. (I'm just recoloring bmp and tga files, so my theme acts as the original.)
How and where is this set in Skinstudio? I didn't find anything (it's not the tool window) and I'd like to add at least a close button to these as well.

#1 Same setings in 4.6 as 5.0 look below
#2 I would need to see the skin. A number of things could wrong.
#3 Yup.
#4 You should really keep that to yourself.
one more question... Again, there are many things that could be wrong. Feel free to upload the skin to the skinartistry workshop. There I can take a peek and find the problem in a jiffy. http://design.skinartistry.com/news.php

According to #1, you're right, the settings are there, however the results are the same. But that one is solved by creating a solid bacground.
I have registered to skinartistry, but I'd be shy to share my WIP theme without any permissions from the original authors. Is it possible that I send it to you on MSN/googletalk/yahoo? I'm logged in to all of these with GAIM all the time.

About #5: I have found that the close button's visibility was set to "show if resizable".
Now before setting it correctly, I would have to understand what is the purpose of the "link to button" property, as a couple of buttons are linked to each-other, and if I set the closebutton visibility to always show, hovering it will show the minimize button, which is a strange behaviour, but could be set nicely with aligning the link-to-button and visibility properties.
